Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church for Jeffery 'Pedro' Hiltner, 25, who died Saturday in a vehicle accident near Melrose. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home, Melrose. Parish prayers will be 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Melrose, followed by St. Leo's Court Catholic Order of Foresters rosary at 8:30.
Jeffery Hiltner was born in Melrose to Alphonse G. and Donna Mae W. (Olmscheid) Hiltner. He graduated from Melrose High School and attended Rasmussen Business College for two years. He was employed by his brother's construction company, WJH Construction, Anoka, for two years. He was currently employed by DKD Construction in Melrose. He also was in the Army National Guard in Sauk Centre. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Leo's Court Catholic Order of Foresters, New Munich baseball team and New Munich Jaycees.
Survivors include his father of Melrose; brothers and sisters, William of Anoka, Ann Uphoff, Angela and Jason of Melrose, and Amy Oleson of Little Falls. He was preceded in death by his mother on March 12, 1996.
