Funeral services will be 11:30 am Saturday January 11, 2003 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany for Edmund F. Auer who past away Tuesday morning at Mother of Mercy. Entombment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4-9 pm Friday & after 10:30 am Saturday at the Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home in Albany. Parish prayers will be at 8 pm followed by the St. Joseph¹s Society Catholic Aid praying at 8:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Edmund was born in Albany Twsp. to Frank & Mary (Bred-eck) Auer. He married Anna Thielman on April 17, 1941 at St. John¹s. He lived & farmed on the family farm for over 72 years. Edmund enjoyed gardening, playing cards, spending time with his family & especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the St. Joseph¹s Society Catholic Aid, Seven Dolors Catholic Church & a charter member of the Stearns County Pioneer Club.
Edmund is survived by his loving wife, Anna, Albany; children, Tom (Delphine), Albany; David (Rita), Avon; Mary (Dan) Ludwig, Red Wing; Judy (Gordon) Haas, Mt. Morris, IL; Barbara (Mel) Rufsvold, Ft. Ransom, ND; & Janet (Curt) Anton, Marshall; son-in-law, Robert (Barb) Brinkman, St. Joseph; grandchildren, Kathi Auer, Michael Auer, Ervin Auer, Annette Auer, Greg Auer, Marilyn Auer, Stephen & Katie Auer, Gary Auer, Ann Ludwig, John Ludwig, Andrew Haas, Bradley Haas, Cheri & Adam Bosch, Jill Brinkman & Jay Brinkman, great grandchildren, Kyle & Allison, brothers & sister, Andrew, Benedict (Leona), and Sister Hildelia Auer, O.S.B., and many nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Eileen Brinkman, infant daughter, and sisters, Veronica Gobel & Sister Cor Marie Auer, O. S.B. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to the Mother of Mercy Nursing Home or Albany Area Hospice.
