Laura Willenbring Donaldson, age 98, formerly of St. Cloud, MN, died Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids, MN. Funeral services will be Friday, November 2, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home Chapel, Sauk Rapids, MN. Fr. Mark Willenbring will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Richmond, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Laura was born May 31, 1909 in Farming, MN to John Bernard "B. J." and Barbara (Backes) Willenbring. She retired from Production Credit Association and volunteered many years at the St. Cloud Library. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, St. Augustine Christian Women and the Progressive Club.
Survivors include her brother, Donald (and his wife, Carolyn "Kari") Willenbring of San Antonio, TX; nieces and nephews, Patty Byrne, Tommy Willenbring, Judy Bahan, David Willenbring, Joel Willenbring, Dean Huschle, Pamela Willenbring Drake and Kyle Willenbring, and many grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brothers, Alcuin (and his wife, Viola), and Linus (and his wife Tarsel). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home or the Alzheimer's Association would be greatly appreciated.
