Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church for Lucille J. Loecken, 80, who died Tuesday at Melrose Area Hospital. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Monday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home, Melrose. The Melrose Christian Mothers, St. Elizabeth's Society and Melrose VFW Auxiliary will pray together at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Melrose followed by parish prayers at 8.

Lucille Loecken was born in Melrose Township, Stearns County, to Herman and Margaret (Buschmann) Hinnenkamp. She married Alphonse Loecken on June 28, 1937, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Munich. The couple lived in Greenwald for 12 years and then in Elrosa until 1949 when they moved to Melrose. She was employed by Melrose Produce for four years and then by Melrose Area Hospital for seven years. She started working at Kraft Foods in Melrose in 1967, retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Melrose, St. Elizabeth's Society, Christian Mothers, Melrose VFW Auxiliary, Melrose Area Historical Society and the Melrose Chapter of Al-Anon. She also was involved in many area charities.

Survivors include her children, Chuck of St. Joseph, Jerry of Delano, Ron of Forest Lake, Shirley Adrian of Freeport, Nettie Spaeth and Jim of Melrose, Rosie Breth of Rogers, and Susie Isaacson of Anoka; brothers and sisters, Sally Wieber of St. Cloud, Walter and Herman of Melrose, Hiltz Knops and Margie Eiynck of Chino Valley, Ariz., Luella Williams of Prescot Valley, Ariz., Arthur of Brooklyn Center, Virginia Caspers of Chula Vista, Calif., Bill of Meire Grove, and Harold of Annandale; 22 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 12, 1992; and brother, Erwin. In lieu of flowers, the Loecken family prefers memorials to St. Michael's Hospice, Sauk Centre.
