Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church for LeRoy N. Wieber, 84, who died Sunday at Assumption Home, Cold Spring.Burial will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud.Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at Wenner Funeral Home. Richmond Seniors will pray the rosary at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Richmond followed by 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus rosary at 7. The 4th Degree Knights of Columbus will have an honor guard from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
LeRoy Wieber was born in Farming to Henry and Anna (Scheidmental) Wieber. He married Hildegard Klassen on Oct. 6, 1942, in St. Martin Catholic Church, St. Martin. She died on July 22, 1972. He married Helen Jacobs on May 16, 1986, in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Richmond. He farmed in St. Francis, El Rosa and St. Nicholas before moving to St. Cloud. He was a home builder in the St. Cloud area prior to his retirement in 1971. He moved to Richmond in 1986. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Richmond, and a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife; sons and daughter, Wayne and Ron of St. Cloud, Gary of Red Wing, Dean of Chanhassen, and Mary of Crystal; eight grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Jerry of Phoenix, Sally Taylor of Diamond Springs, Calif., Jenny Elmelund of Los Angeles; and Viola Lahr of Corona, Calif.
He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Andrew, Ralph, Edmund, Delphine Arndt and Amy Taylor.
