Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2001, at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Richmond, for Henry A. Eisenschenk, age 87, who died Thursday at his home. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The Knights of Columbus, Catholic Order of Foresters, and Golden Smiles will pray at 7:00 p.m. Parish prayers will be at 8:00 p.m.
Henry was born in Collegeville Township to John and Dorothy (Werner) Eisenschenk. He married Dorothy A. Barthel on June 2, 1942, in the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Cold Spring. He was self employed for most of his life as a plumbing and heating contractor. He served with Headquarters Co., 2nd Battalion, 422nd Infantry in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, and Southern France during World War II.
He was a member of the Richmond Knights of Columbus, Catholic Order of Foresters, and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; children, Jerry (Theresa), Rice, Allan (Mary Kay), St. Joseph, Richard (Jean), Duane (Luan), and Ann (Tim) Gertken of Cold Spring; sister, Theresa Morissette, St. Paul; and 13 grand-children.
He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Joseph, John, Sister Romelda, Sister Leonia, August, Lawrence, Mary Willenbring, Sister Rapheal Ann, Frank, and Sister Francis Lorraine. Memorials are preferred. Funeral arrangements are with the Wenner Funeral Home, Richmond.
