Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Jerome H. Eisenschenk, age 74, who died Saturday at his home. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are with the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday, at St. Boniface Church in Cold Spring. The St. Joseph's Society and the Catholic Aid Association will pray at 4:30 p.m. Knights of Columbus, Cold Spring Legion and VFW Posts will pray at 7:30 p.m. Parish prayers will be at 8:00 p.m.

Jerry was born in Collegeville, MN to Joseph and Theresa (Willenbring) Eisenschenk. He married Elaine Kuehnl on January 22, 1958 at St. John Cantius Church in St. Cloud. Jerry worked as a carpenter for 32 years at the Cold Spring Granite Company before retiring in 1991. He enjoyed music (playing the concertina), gardening, playing cards, fishing, volunteering, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Jerry was a member of St. Boniface Parish, Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph's Society, Catholic Aid, and the Cold Spring American Legion and VFW Posts. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include his children, Carmen (Don) Capelle of Rochester, Shirley (Joe) Molitor of Rockville, Laura (Dave) Taufen of Big Lake and Brian (Deb) of Cold Spring; mother, Theresa of Cold Spring; brothers and sisters, Coletta (Sylvester) Boeckmann of Cold Spring, Marcella (Elmer) Boeckmann of Richmond, Theresa (Russ) Shrode of Sauk Rapids, Rosie (Jerry) Schindler of Holdingford, Carol (Rich) Schindler of Avon, Kathleen (Dave) Kremers of Lincoln, NE, Arnie (Merena) Eisenschenk of Cold Spring, Leon (Donna) Eisenschenk of Milbank, S.D., Jim (Dorothy) Eisenschenk of Cold Spring; sister-in-law, Alice Eisenschenk of Richmond, and grandchildren, Melaine, Kristin, Leah, Hannah, Maria, Abby, Angela and Margaret Molitor, Jenna and Justin Capelle, Sydney, Sam and Ben Taufen, and Tracy and Andrea Eisenschenk.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine (March 16, 1979); father, Joseph (1965); brothers, Maurice and Dennis; sisters, Maryann and Elvira; brothers-in-law, Harry Theis and Russel Shrode and sister-in-law, Delores Eisenschenk.
