Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sauk Rapids for Tudy Boerger, 82, who died Tuesday at her home. Concelebrants will be Rev. Ronald Weyrens and Rev. Alfred Stangl. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Williams Funeral Home, St. Cloud and also after 9:00 a.m. Friday morning at the church. Sacred Heart Parish Prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Tudy was born to the late Theodore and Catherine (Willenbring) Steinke in St. Rosa. She married Wallace Boerger on February 12, 1944 at St. John Cantius, St. Cloud. She moved back to St. Cloud from Minneapolis in 1983. She was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Aide, R.S.V.P., and Waite Park American Legion Auxiliary Post #428.
Tudy is survived by her daughters: Sue Boerger and Kristen (Randy) Nelson; sons: Charles (Terri) and Bruce (Mary); nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Darrell Dzandzara.
Tudy was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace, on Oct. 29, 1990; daughter, Robin in August of 2004; grandson, Wally in April of 2000; and sister, Agnes Wieber.
