BARTHLE, Caroline J., 85 of Dade City, Fla., passed away Monday, February 22, 2010, in Dade City.
She was born April 17, 1924, in Dade City, Fla., and remained a lifelong area resident. She retired from the citrus industry and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She is survived by her brother, Sylvester "S.J." Barthle, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Barthle and Frank Barthle; two sisters, Eleanor Barthle and Marie Gude; mother, Frances Bear; and father, Mathias Barthle. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff and friends at Royal Oak Nursing Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, February 26, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The family will receive friends for viewing 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the Sacred Heart Youth Group.
