Mass of Christian Burial will be 9 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2007 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in St. Joseph celebrating the life of Mildred C. "Mickey" Baggenstoss, age 88, of St. Joseph, who died Monday, July 30, 2007 at Arlington Place in St. Joseph. Burial will take place in the St. Joseph Parish Cemetery in St. Joseph. Relatives and friends may call from 4-9 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2007 and after 8 a.m. on Saturday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph. St. Joseph's Senior Citizens will pray at 4:30 p.m. followed by Parish Prayers at 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Mildred was born March 28, 1919 in Melrose, MN to Peter and Barbara (Hoppe) Schlicht. She married Willard C. "Bill" Baggenstoss on January 19, 1938 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose. She worked at St. John's University in housekeeping and later assisted Bill in the family trucking business. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in St. Joseph.
Mildred is survived by her children Jeanette Kedrowski of St. Paul, Jerry (Betty) of St. Joseph, Diane of St. Joseph, June (Leon) Hoffman of St. Joseph and Al (Deb) of St. Cloud, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and sisters Lottie Eisenkramer of Richfield and Irma Schlicht of Milwaukee, WI.
Preceding Mildred in death are her parents, husband Bill (September 4, 1990), brothers Hubert, Norbert, Raymond, Roman and Amor and sisters Florence Fahn, Elsie Caputa, Margie Schlicht, Della Hinnekamp, Genny Schlicht and Bertha Otte. The family would like to sincerely thank Heartland Hospice and the staff at Arlington Place for the loving care Mickey received.
