Linda Lee Erikson Maynes 1942 ~ 2006 Linda Lee Erickson Maynes, a woman of undaunted faith, who exemplifies the epitome of love and service, passed away July 29, 2006, along with her brother-in-law, Darrell Kent Maynes, from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Born August 25, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Elva Isabell Johnson and Rufus Henry Erickson. Linda was a thoughtful, passionate woman who loved life. She was sealed to Donald Haun Maynes for time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple August 25, 1960. Together they raised six successful and upstanding children. Linda served in many callings within the LDS Church, currently serving in the Jordan River Temple. Her greatest joy in life is her family and her Heavenly Father. Her dedication, unconditional devotion and love for these things, set her apart as a true Matriarch and Daughter of God. May we strive to learn the secret of life that radiated from her, to love and serve others, and to enrich our own lives. Survived by her eternal soul mate, Donald; daughters: Susan Balisteri, Patty Patton, sons: Daniel (Nancy), Paul (Elvina), Brian (Kristin), Michael (Laura); brother, Reed (Carlie) Erickson; 27 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; and by all of those who held this great woman close to their hearts. Preceded in death by parents; sisters: Beverly McNee, Joyce (Richard) Moore; daughter, Pauline Maynes; brother, Alan Maynes. She made this world a better place by the example she set every day of her life. "We love and miss you so much but know we will see you again soon". Please join us for her funeral service on Saturday, August 5, 2006, 11:00 a.m. at the Paradise Ward, 1555 West Lovely Road (5095 S). Friends and family may call Friday, August 4, 2006, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
