Alan Douglas Maynes
(17 Apr 1946 - 11 Feb 2004)
Beloved Husband
Alan Douglas Maynes, our sweetheart, husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend was summoned to his Heavenly Father's presence Feb. 11, 2004 after a day of total enjoyment with his dear wife and friends. For those of us who knew and loved him here on earth there is sorrow. We will greatly miss him.
For those who have gone to prepare him a way, there is much happiness in their reunion. Let us put aside our sorrows and rejoice for we will be with him again.
Alan was born April 17, 1946 to Darrel D. and Goldie Haun Maynes in Salt Lake City, UT. He was the third of five sons and is survived by his brothers Donald, Darrel Kent, David, and Stanley.
Alan is a member of the LDS Church and served a mission in Calgary, Canada. He married Judy Anderson Sept. 13, 1968 and later divorced. He is survived by their children, Kerrie, Kathryn, Lara, Charles, Rachael, and Nicholas Maynes. Alan has served in many church callings throughout his life and was an gifted pianist. He was owner and proprietor of Apple Screen Printing.
On Feb. 5, 2000 Alan married his special sweetheart Peggy Campbell. This was solemnized in the Jordan River Temple. In the short time they have had together, they have formed an eternal love and friendship.
They are survived by Alicia (Casey) Peterson, Rebecca (Michael) Crockett, Emily (Ryan) Job, John, Phillip, Stephanie, Joshua Rogers, eight grandchildren.
To those of you, my children I say, love one another as I have loved you and the Lord will pour down his blessings upon you even the gift of eternal life.
