Death

He was killed in action in France. His death was noted by the British War Office "on the German report that he fell on the 17th March, 1917, on studying the German Records, the British Military Mission in Berlin found the place of death to be 'at the Cross Roads 600 metres East of Roclincourt Nord', but owing to the military operations at that time no burial report was noted."
