Individual Details

William Howson

(Abt 1823 - )

When and where did William Howson die? He is in the 1861 census, but by 1871 his wife Ann is listed as a widow. He does not appear to be the William Howson who died of phthisis pulmonaris (i.e. tuberculosis) on 19 March 1865 at Sheffield Infirmary (registered March Quarter 1865, Sheffield registration district, volume 09C, page 252). That William Howson was aged 23 at his death, so born about 1842, and his occupation was cutler. The informant was Eliza Clayford, present at the death.
