I don't know where you are in the tree, if you are then we are related , through Alexander Shaw 1823-1877 (wobbly dates) and his brother
Robert 1837 - 1878 who is my great many time grandfather, Alexander ha d a another brother Robert but he died , so they had another !
the Alexander above born in 1899 was killed in the first war (I have som e details) his second or third cousin Alexander Shaw (my grandfather) w as also in the first war, they lived quite close to each other , had th e same age and probably went to school together,
