Register at Temuka School 413 28th Jan 1895 Was injured in the Napier ear thquake at his shop, 310 Heretaunga Street West, then taken to Hastings R acecourse Hospital as they were not as badly affected as Napier, where h e died on 8/2/1931 Listed on the Memorial as an Earthquake victim. Addres s was listed as 310 Heretaunga St West Hastings Gordon Hill GRANT, regist ered as a chemist and druggist at Hastings on 10 February 1911, number 92 3, after passing the 47th Standard Pharmacy examination October 1908. H e was erased from this register in 1915, could have gone to the first Wor ld War. He is noted in National Archives war records as being a chemist 1 916 at Emerson Street Napier, graded A for war service in the second rese rves.
