Parents listed as William Ch erry (farmer) and Agnes Cherry, formerly Neil. 29 years in NZ and one liv ing daughter aged 38. - Presbyterian That made her 77 when she died???? b y our calculations. She was buried on 14 August 1892 in Auckland NZ - bu t no detail as to where in that vast area
Hi John - How are you/ I just thought I'd let you know that after 23 year s Donna surfaced the death details of Helen Cherrie/SHAW (1815) my grea t great grandmother - she was marrried to James Shaw (1830). Her death wa s registered under Ellen Shaw - so that part of the mystery has been solv ed, now we still have their burials to find. cheers Diane

[8:47:42 PM] Diane: I think that Donna (who lives in NZ) after some discu ssion with me about her signing her name on a farm lease document I hav e and also seeeing her name written in diffrent ways as Hellen/Ellen/Hele n. Donna decided to give it a punt and searched in NZ for Ellen Shaw no t Helen and bingo she found it - so we are pleased
Also my sister recently visited bringing a wealth of info foe me. Her bi g surprise was a wedding photo of Helen and James Shaw's daughter Agnes a nd her husband John Rankin Baillie on their wedding day - a wonderful fin d
