John Bow and Margaret Rankines family.
I noticed that her birth is Nov 1715 and death 1834 making her 119 year s old!
I have been trying to get a death record for her with no luck.
I had 2 marriage dates both in March1737, one being the 11th and the othe r being 30th.
I had been in to scotlands people and got copies of both these records.
The 11th is the date for posting her banns and the 30th is date she was l egally married. Can any of you give me any info on date for her death ple ase.
I also have a copy of her mother and fathers marriage ,
Patrick Renkine and Margaret Mershell on 5th Feb 1703 in Kilsyth.
These are very old and do not list the parents on the marriage register b ut on the posting of the banns it lists;
John Bow in Auchinrivoch in easter Baronie and Margaret, lawful daughte r to the deceased Patrick Rankine from what looks like RISKEND --------- -.(undecipherable plus a blot) gave up theirnames for acclamation in orde r to marriage
