Cathie Cleland was John's second wife. He had previously been married t o Margaret Bremner, who died and left him a widower. They lived for a num ber of years at Moncrieff Cottage, 62 Auchenmore Rd Dunoon. John died the re on the 18th of march 1945. he had suffered from stomache cancer.
