I have Elisabeth Aitken Shaw born 1847 and died 1917 married to James Abe rcrombie who died as you say in a mining accident and according to famil y was brought home to his wife in a wheelbarrow and dumped on the doorste p. I have corresponded with a distant cousin (via FR) who confirms the st ory. Elisabeth is my GG grandmother and had 7 children with James. She we nt on to marry John Gray of Stirling.
