John was killed when the roof of his work place collapsed death was regis tered on the in formation of the procurator fiscal.sadly his parents name s were omitted from the d.cert. there were 2 john marshalls born in kilsy th in 1830 ,one illigtimate born to jean wallace ,based on the fact tha t agnes and john named their second daughter jean wallace marshall i beli eve this to be the correct john marshall also a headstone to peter marsha ll 1855 sits on the same grave as john marshall and jean wallace in kilsy th cemetery[they would be peters grandparents]
