Peter, Robert, James and William inherited a weaving business ( J&P Wilso n) from their father who on his death certificate is described as a cotto n manufacturer. They are also described this way in Census Records. Joh n Shaw's obituary in the Kilsyth Chronicle indicates that his Uncles (Pet er, Robert, James and William) took him into the business and he eventua l owned the business. His 3 sons ran it when he died.
