George Culp

(9 Sep 1809 - 15 Feb 1899)

George moved with his parents to Mahoning Co., OH. Here he lived following the occupation of farming until he married Magdalena at the age of twenty-one. They were followers of the Mennonite faith. They moved their family to Elkhart Co., IN on 11 May 1850. They stayed in their country home until 1880 when they moved to Nappanee for their retirement. George and Magdalena are both buried in Yellow Creek Cemetery with others of their family. The above information came from History of George Culp and Descendants dated June 13, 1906, author unknown.
