Louis Philip Soldon, 75, of 19 Catherine St., Scotchtown died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999 in the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital.
Born in New Waterford, he was the son of the late George and Margaret (Porquet) Soldon. He was a member of St. Michael's Church, River Ryan. He was employed with Devco for 39 years until his retirement in 1985. Mr. Soldon was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of New Waterford Fish and Game Association.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Anna Digero; one son, George (Ursula), Lingan and a grandson, Nathan.
Visitation will be in the McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford Tuesday evening 7-9. Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael's Church with Father Lester Marchand officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Family flowers only, by request, donations may be made the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Michael's Church.
