Hi Patricia,
My name is Angie Hanrahan, formerly Wareham. I married a Hanrahan from Newfoundland but I myself am from Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia. When I was reading your post it brought back memories of stories of my great grand father who was a Wareham of Newfoundland, he sailed aboard a ship called " The Kyle". This ship was stuck in the ice off the coast of Cape Breton and alot of the crew walked ashore and ended up starting lives and families there. I do have some relatives who have since moved on to Boston area. We could possibly be talking about the same group of Wareham's here. I will do my best to retrieve more info regarding names and place in Newfoundland. Oh yes, there is a small community in Newfoundland called Wareham. I've been there once just for a brief visit, very small place and people are very nice. They found it hard to believe that we carried the last name Wareham due to the fact that there weren't any of us left living there.
Hope your search goes well.
Take care,
