DeBAIE, Warren Frederick - 52. It is with great sadness that his family announces the passing of their husband, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law and friend. Warren Frederick DeBaie passed away unexpectedly September 24, 2008, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. He was born December 15, 1955, in East Chezzetcook, Halifax Co. He leaves behind his mother, Ruby (MacMullen) Martin, East Chezzetcook; loving wife, Mary (Miller) DeBaie, Caribou Island. Warren was employed with Eastern Tire for 25 years. He was an active volunteer with the Progressive Conservatives, and enjoyed helping friends, and his country music. He is also survived by siblings; Tommy DeBaie, Dartmouth; Brian (Donna) DeBaie, East Chezzetcook; Sandra Dunbar, Owen Sound, Ont.; Dorothy DeBaie, Alta.; Helen Purcell, Windsor; Janet (Russell) Grant, Head Chezzetcook; Lisa Lambert, Alta.; Richard Martin, Alta.; many nieces and nephews. Warren was predeceased by his father, Melvin DeBaie; stepfather, Cyril Martin; sister, Patricia Martin; and maternal grandparents, Archibald and Margaret MacMullen (Hopewell). Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral service will take place 2 p.m. Monday in Pictou United Church, with Michael Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Waterside Cemetery.
