"Thomas" was a "scholar" (student) as noted on the 1881 British Censu
s. He and the above family members, according to the 1881 Census record s, resided at 436 Coventry Rd, Aston, Warwick, England.
in 1898 Thomas immigrates to Canada where he changed (no legal documen ts to back this up) his name to Theodore Theophilus/Theophilus Theodore a ka TT. Upon his immigration he took employment at Rideau Hall teaching t he then Governor General's children at that time piano/organ; or so fami ly story goes.
1901 he is a "Professor" in North Sydney, but also travelled to Lunenbu rg this time for "court" work as a Magistrate; here he is known by the na me Theophilus (1901 Census).
1936 he held employment as a Deputy Magistrate; thanks for this informatio n, Kevin.
1947 TT moves to Windsor's (Hants County) Masons Retirement Home.
1949 TT dies at the retirement home; his death certificate lists his na me as "Thomas" with his occupation being "organist"
