Flemming Abraham (Alex) MacPhee, 87, River Bourgeois, Richmond County, died at the Victoria General Hospital, in Halifax, Monday. Born in Sporting Mountain, Richmond County, he was the son of the late Deserie and Marceline (Fougere) MacPhee. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in River Bourgeois. He was the last surviving member of his family. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Ellen Thibeau; two daughters, Clair and Rachel (Mrs. Estwood Davidson), River Bourgeois; a son, Peter, Antigonish; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by five sisters, Clara, Mary, Lottie, Florence and Margaret and two brothers, Wilfred and Daniel. The body is resting at the River Bourgeois Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at St. John the Baptist Church in River Bourgeois Thursday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Hugh D. MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with family flowers only. Donations may be made to the River Bourgeois Funeral Home. The funeral is under the direction of the Alex A. Morrison Funeral Home in St. Peters.
