She was a member of Cape North Presbyterian Church and Cape North Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are daughters, Catherine, at home; Murdena (Mrs. David Padonovitch), Cape North; sons, Douglas, Donald, Cape North; Malcolm, Toronto; sister, Jessie Maloney, Baddeck; brother, Dan Burton, Sydney; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Murdock; daughter, Annabelle; sisters, Dolly, Rita, Tena, Lida; brothers, George, Wilson. Funeral 2 p.m. today in Cape North Presbyterian Church, Rev. Rose-Hannah Gaskin officiating. Burial in MacPherson Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home.

Dan Harry Burton 91, BADDECK Dan Harry Burton, 91, passed into the presence of his Lord Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, at Alderwood Rest Home. Dan Harry is survived by son, Daniel Gordon Burton; grandchildren, Daniel, Cara, Melissa, Troy,Wayne and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Cameron Alex and Robin. He also leaves many dear friends and extended family members. Dan Harry was predeceased by wife, Abbie (Gwynn) Burton, son, Glenn Stewart Burton, daughters, Darlene MacCormick, Diane Burton and Thelma MacLeod. I would like to thank the staff and residents of Alderwood for the care and kindness my father received during his stay with you.
