Finally found my notes...I have a Jack Langer who married a Harriet Hicks. They had five sons William Thomas(married to Florence Gouthro...my grandparents), Alexander (married Kay?), John (who I do have married to a Doris Hossip (who died Aug. 2002), Fred (married Rene?) and Clarence. A couple of those names my father was not sure about. My aunt told me that Harriet Hicks was Jack's first wife. Harriet was born in 1895 in Newfoundland and had died in her 50's to cancer (1952) and he remarried to Mamie? But I don't have the paperwork as proof for that...just from what my aunt told me. But Jack and Harriet would be my great-grandparents.
William Thomas, (one of the son's of Jack) being my grandfather I can tell you about the most. He was born in Cape Breton in 1920.

Hi Ron. I think I may have posted to you once before but I will let you know what I know. I remember your Dad well. He frequently would come to Cape Breton for a weekend visit. He was very funny and I enjoyed him immensely. I didn't know your mom very well. I have a brother Tom (he is 64 now) and living in Trenton, ON; another brother Cecil (he is now 61 and living in Greenwood, NS); Oldest is my sister Wilena, living in Truro, NS and she is now 70; baby sister Jackie, living in Lower Sackville, NS and she is now 52; Simon is somewhere in Alberta and he is around 57. My grandparents on the Langer side were Jack and Maimie (second wife - first wife died in her early 50s of Cancer) Langer. His first wife's name was harriet (Hicks). Any questions and you can email me or post. Cheers, Tina Logan (Langer)
