James A. Hureau 'Cowboy Jim' 79, Sydney James A. Hureau, 79, of Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility, formerly of 140 ABrookland St., Sydney, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at the residence. Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Murdock and Mary (Richard) Hureau. He was a member of St. Joseph's parish, Sydney. He was a very well-known individual. Jim was a dedicated community and sports person. He will long be remembered for his ticket selling expertise for all sports events and teams. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by four nieces, Margaret Jurcina, Ann Robertson, Raylene MacIntyre, Andre Tobin, all of Sydney, and three nephews and a niece in Ontario. He was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, Bernard and Thomas, three sisters, Yvonne Kilburn, Mary Gallant and Casilda,along with an infant brother, Alexander. Visitation for the late Mr. Hureau will take place at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, Saturdayfrom 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph's Church with Rev. Gerald Dunphy officiating.
