Individual Details

William P. Cusack

(Abt 1847 - 20 Mar 1919)

William was a widower when he married Mary Ann in 1875.

From Donald MacLean
William's first wife was Flora McMillan from Grand Lake whom he married in
1873, but she died some time before 1875. The one child of the marriage, a
daughter Isabel, died in infancy. However in family correspondence dated
1979 it is said that there were then a William and a
George Cusack living at Harbour Centre (?) who were somehow related to the
McMillan family - although by then all descendants of the Grand Lake
McMillans had moved away many years before. There is also mention of an
Eileen Cusack or Landry, then in Sydney CB, said to be a grand daughter of
William Cusack, the shoemaker.

Given the short span of William Cusack's marriage to Flora McMillan it seems
surprising that connections between their respective families should still
be remembered over 100 years later. Can anyone throw some light on
relationships among these two families?
