Birth
Arnold Lanser was born 21 May 1919. This is conclusively documented by his birth certificate and supported by multiple other sources such as his marriage certificate, his gravestone, the 1920, 1930, and 1940 U.S. Census as well as Ancestry databases based on World War II records, social security records and other public records.According to Arnold, he was born in Saint Kilian, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin but it is not clear the source of the information. His birth certificate lists Ashford, Fond Du Lac County, Wisconsin. A quick google map search shows that St. Killian is a church/location in Ashford Township. His birthplace is supported by the fact that he was listed as living in Fond du Lac County Wisconsin in the 1920 U.S. census and the fact that Wisconsin is listed as his birthplace on his death certificate and in the 1930 and 1940 U.S. census. His marriage certificate lists Fond Du Lac county as his birthplace.
