Notes
Immigration
His last foreign residence was Koflern, Austria.Marriage
Frank Scherne is assumed to have been married to the same Anna Bender as married to Charles Fitzpatrick because of the entries in the 1920 and 1930 U.S. censuses. In 1920, Frank and Anna are shown as husband and wife, with Charles Fitzpatrick as a boarder. In 1930, Charles and Anna seem to be shown as husband and wife. Also, in 1920, daughter Josephine Scherne and son Frank Scherne are living with Frank and Anna, while Charles Fitzpatrick is living with his son Charles, Jr. In 1930, Josephine Scherne, Charles Fitzpatrick and Eleanor Fitzpatrick (adopted) are all shown living with Charles and Anna. This is circumstantial and needs to be substantiated with records such death, birth, and marriage certificates.Census
