Marriage
Wallingford-McCarter Vows Read HereMrs. M. L. Moody of 903 South Allegheny St. Tulsa, Okla. announces the marriage of her daughter, Mary Jane, to Charles Red McCarter son of Mr. and Mrs. C.L. McCarter of 700 South Fourth St. on Friday evening, June 20 at 7 o’clock at the McCarter home.
Rev. A.D. Gregory, pastor of the First Methodist church read the single ring ceremony.
The bride wore a black sheer street length dress, and a black picture hat adorned with pink roses and accessories of black. Her shoulder corsage was of pink rose buds, match the ones on her hat.
Mrs. Tommy Stewart of Tulsa was maid of honor and wore a black raw silk dress with white accessories and a corsage of white split peonies.
Sam Wise of Bixby served Mr. McCarter as best man.
Mrs. C. L. McCarter, mother of the groom, was attired in an aqua blue mesh dress and wore a corsage of Joanna Hill pink roses and brown accessories.
Mrs. McCarter attended high school in Bixby and Oklahoma School of Business and Accountancy of Tulsa and is employed by the H. M. MmcDaniel brokerage firm, Tulsa.
Mr. McCarter finished high school at Bixby and attended the University of Arkansas and was a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity. He is also a graduate of the St. Louis School of Mortuary Science and is employed by the Moore Funeral Home in Tulsa.
Guests at the wedding included Mrs. Ethel Kennelly, Mrs. John Deets, Mrs. C. D. Benton, Miss Barbara Benton, and Mr. and Mrs. J. McCarter of Tulsa. Dr and Mrs. W. W. Burnett and son Billie Clair, Morris. Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held.
After a short wedding trip through the Ozarks of Missouri and Arkansas they will be at home at 903 South Allegheny, Tulsa.
