Notes
Marriage
Wedding of Lala Ferrel and Jack McCarterThe marriage of Miss Lala Fern Ferrel, of Louisburg, and Mr. John W. McCarter of Delaware, Oklahoma, took place at the bride's home last Sunday, November 12th, at 6:30 o'clock, the Reverend A. W. Houts officiating. Only immediate relatives of the contracting parties witnessed the ceremony.
The young couple will be at home after November 15th in Delaware, Oklahoma. Prior to the ceremony, Mrs. Margaret Lee Miller sang, "Oh, Promise Me."
Miss Ferrel is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. J. V. Ferrel and is a social favorite of Louisburg, attractive in her beauty and commanding in her worth. Since her graduation from the Louisburg high school, two years ago, she has been one of the clerks in the Lewis Brothers Dry Goods Store.
Mr. McCarter is the youngest son of Mrs. M.C. McCarter and was born and reared in Louisburg. Before his removing to Delaware he was bookkeeping in the Bank of Louisburg, and is now assistant cashier of the Bank of Delaware. Well educated and industrious, Mr. McCarter is sure to succeed. And no small factor in his advancement will be the counsel and help of the excellent helpmate he has now chosen.
