Charles Ray (Looney) Blevins, 64, died Thursday May 3, 2012 from a tractor accident. He was born October 24, 1947.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Louise Blevins; a sister, Mandy Mitchell; a brother, James Richard "Butch" Blevins Sr.; and a nephew, Christopher Allen "Pete" Blevins.
Survivors include a nephew, James Richard "Jim" Blevins Jr., of Max Meadows; two nieces and spouse, Nancy Lynn Blevins, of Wytheville and Lorrie and Scott Mitchell, of Rural Retreat ; two great-nephews, Tyler and Coty Blevins, of Max Meadows; special friends Tommy Weaver, Bill and Edmona Brown, Gary Rogers; and many other special friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 6, 2012, from noon to 2 p.m. at Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville, or any time at the home of Lorrie and Scott Mitchell at 325 Elm Ave, Rural Retreat. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.highlandfuneralservice.com.
