Obituary of Clara Louise McConnell Hancock

Clara Louise McConnell Hancock, 84, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Sunday evening, February 25, 2007. She was the widow of Frank P. Hancock, Jr., and a charter member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are three sons, Frank P. Hancock III and wife Kay, of Roanoke, Gregory M. Hancock and Kim, of Roanoke, Charles M. Hancock and wife Becky, of Ackworth, Ga.; three grandchildren, Johanna Hancock, Patrick Hancock, Cory Hancock; a sister-in-law, Alice Hancock Fleshman; and a cousin, Katherine Sutherland, of Roanoke.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Thursday from Oakey's South Chapel with the Rev. Dusty K. Fiedler and the Rev. Robert A. Fiedler officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. Memorials may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church (1831 Deyerle Road SW; Roanoke, Virginia 24018) or the American Diabetes Association (P.O. Box 1132; Fairfax, Va. 22038-1132). The family will receive friends from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's South Chapel.
