Donna Louise May

Donna passed away peacefully on March 19 in her Ellensburg, WA home at Dry Creek Senior Living. Born on September 21, 1934 in Walla Walla, WA, she graduated in 1952 from Clover Park HS in Tacoma, WA.
In 1953, she married David Richard "Dick" Albertson (d. 2008), and they had 3 children: Doug Albertson (wife Shelly, dtr Avery), Gretchen Holmstrom (husband Rick, son Erik, and dtr Blaire), and Gordon Albertson (d. 1996).
The family lived in Renton, WA until 1966, when they moved to northern Virginia. While there, Donna earned her nursing credential, and when the family moved in 1974 to Ellensburg, she subsequently received her BS degree.
Dick and Donna returned to King County in 1979, where she worked for the Lake WA School District until her retirement in 1996. They lived in Issaquah for over 20 years, and then Donna moved (after Dick died) to be near her daughter in Ellensburg.
A woman who enjoyed family and travel, Donna loved to talk and laugh - and had a real zest for life! Her "Celebration of Life" was held Monday, March 24, 10am at Ellensburg United Methodist Church.
