Andrew Franklin Senter

The following is an excerpt from an interview of Mitchell F. Senter by E.J. Sutherland at Clintwood, Virginia on 25 Feb. 1932 and published in the book PIONEER RECOLLECTIONS:

"Andrew F. Senter was a Confederate soldier. During the war, he found an officer's field-kit on some battlefield, belonging to either General Lee or General Jackson. He was captured and confined at Fort Delaware. He was a farmer, and died in 1892. I have his Bible at my home and will send you a copy of same when I go home. He married Frances McFall, daughter of James McFall and sister to Aunt Betty Senter. Their children were: Florina (married Andrew Fleming), Nathaniel, Mitchell F. (myself), Sarah (married Eli Phipps), Stephen H., Lucy (married Ep Childress), Julia Ann (married Brack Wallace), and Mazie (married Will Ratliff)"
