Obituary of Nona McCarter

Nona King Place, age 83, died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999 in Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie. She was the widow of Wonnie King.

She is survived by two sons, James King and Jack King, both of Marion; one brother, Grover McCarter of Manassas; four grandchildren, Reba Cress, Charles King, Rhonda King and Chasity King, all of Marion; two great-grandchildren, Megan Cress and Logan Cress; a special friend, Peggy Dickison.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 12, at 4 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Rev. Bob Surber officiating. Burial followed in Ridgelawn Cemetery in Sugar Grove.

Seaver-Brown Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
