Rites Held August 23 in Stanton, Nebraska for Mrs. Nidia G. Daniel
The August 28 issue of the Stanton (Nebr.) Register contained a news story concerning the funeral of Mrs. Nidia G. Daniel, 64, Stanton resident who was the former Miss Lillie Fielder, of Spring Valley, who died there Wednesday, August 20. The Register story follows:
"Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Mrs. N. G. Daniel, long-time Stanton county resident who passed away last Wednesday in a Norfolk hospital. Reverend Donald V. Rose conducted the last rites from the Stanton Methodist church.
"Burial took place in Stanton cemetery. Pallbearers were Elmer Zubar, Wilson Kingsley, Harry Nicholas, and Harold Zechin, all of Stanton, Jess Johnson of Newman Grove and Walter Chace of Pilger.
"Mrs. Daniel was born Jan. 30, 1888 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Fielder, in Grayson county, Virginia. On January 30, 1909, she was married to N. G. Daniel.
"In 1912 the couple moved from Virginia to Pilger where they lived for 22 years. From there they came to Stanton, residing here the past 18 years.
"She was united early in life with the Jerusalem Methodist church in Virginia and had been a member of the Methodist church all her life.
"Survivors are her husband, six children, Leo, Leon, Raymond, and Mrs. Harry Schultz, all of Stanton; Mrs. Bruce Roberts of Detroit, and Gaylean of Madison.
Mrs. Daniel is also survived by brothers Ed Fielder, Detroit; William Fielder, Beaver Dam, Md, and Samuel Fielder, Bel Air, Md; sisters Mrs. B. H. Taylor, Elizabethton, Tenn; Mrs. John Craft, Neon, Ky. and Mrs. Susan Fielder, Elk Creek, Va.
Mrs. Daniel was a sister-in-law of A. J. Daniel and Con Daniel, both of Galax residents.
