Frederick Overly was a scout in the Revolutionary War at the age of 12. He was baptized on Palm Sunday, 1776 at Beaver Creek (Altalana Lutheran Church) Rehrersburg, PA. In his will he left his large farms as follows: the farms in Springfield Twp, Ross Co., OH went to his sons, John and George; Elizabeth received the farm in Green Twp; Susan the one in Colerain Twp; Polly and Margaret the one in Harrison Twp.
