James ELDER

James came to America around 1752. He lived to be 106 years old! He may have been the "James Elder" who was a private in Capt. Joseph Armstrong's Company in the Franklin County, Pennsylvania Militia during the American Revolution. This was the first company formed in the Province in 1755 for the defense of the frontier against the French and Indians.
