Obituary of Myrna Jean Lolley


Myrna Jean (Lolley) Erickson was born on Nov. 24, 1937 in Weiser, Idaho and went to be with Jesus on Oct. 12, 2006 after a short illness. Her parents were John W. Lolley and Ila M. (Sullivan) Lolley of Weiser. She attended school in Saling School on Mann´s Creek and graduated from high school in Weiser.

Myrna attended Nampa Business College. While there, she met Ron Erickson, they were married March 3, 1956. She worked in the office at Troy Laundry in Nampa until moving to Weiser in 1960. They purchased a meat cutting business at the Weiser Ice Plant and later owned and operated Ron´s Meat Service on Mann´s Creek until 1976 when they moved back to the Nampa/Boise area. She helped out in the office at both Scott´s and Voigt´s Refrigeration Companies.

Myrna loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and spent many years serving Him. She played piano and organ and helped with choirs at the Nazarene Church in Weiser; the Community Church in Orovada, Nev., and at Bethel Church of the Nazarene in Nampa, Idaho. A special memory was helping with the youth choir "His Children" in the 1970s in Weiser.

Ron and Myrna lived in Orovada, Nev. for several years until returning to Weiser in 2001. They recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. Myrna´s family was very important to her and everywhere she lived she made close friends. She is survived by her husband Ron Erickson and two sons, John and Claudia, of White River, S.D., and Wayne and Ree of Winnemucca, Nev. Five grandchildren; Kala (Tony) Cassenelli and Nick, both of Winnemucca, Nev.; Shane, Chelsea and Dorothy, all of White River, S.D. One great-grandchild, Angel of Winnemucca, Nev.

A brother, Ken (Verna) Lolley of Hood River, Ore. She had several other uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews as well as many, many special family and friends including brother and sisters-in-law, Bernice Koening of Albany, Ore.; Bob (Eunice) Erickson of Fruitland; Glen (Donna) Erickson, of Nampa, ; Edna (Larry) Logan, Caldwell; Ida (Henry) Busse, Caldwell; and Fred Erickson, Idaho Falls, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Memorial services will be at the Weiser Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. Private Inurnment Hillcrest Cemetery, Weiser arrangements by Thomason Funeral Home and Crematory.
