Daniel Lafayette Anderson

(2 Dec 1830 - 24 Jan 1918)

Daniel L. Anderson was born in Warren County, Tenn. He crossed the plains with the Fitzhugh wagon train arriving in Oreogn on October 14, 1850. He married Polly Mary the daughter of Solomon Fitzhugh and Polly Dickey of Logan County, Kentucky and North Carolina. In 1881 they moved to Curry County, Oregon, but he died in 1913 at the Old Soldier's Home in Roseburg. They had nine children: George, John L., Evaline L., Melvin Dickey, Hannah H., Nancy J., Fizhugh Lee, Solomon Daniel, and Phebe Frances.
