Thomas Rogers

(29 Mar 1638 - Bef 7 Aug 1678)

Thomas Rogers was authorized to administer the estate of brother Joseph Rogers Jr. as heir on 1 March 1663. Thomas was propounded as freeman 8 June 1664 and he appears on the 29 May 1670 list of Eastham freeman.

Thomas Rogers died intestate, and an inventory of his estate was taken 7 August 1678, calling him late of Eastham. An informal settlement occurred 8 July 1704 when daughter Hannah was a minor, but 26 years thereafter she complained to the court and final settlement was made, noting that she was then the wife of Amasiah Harding and ordering payment to her by Thomas Rogers and Eleazer Rogers, "two of the sons of sd Deceased," and by the heirs of Joseph Rogers deceased, "who was the Eldest son of ...sd Thomas Rogers." The record indicated that the estate had been administered by John Rogers, brother of the decedent.
