Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret M. Fowler, 76 were held at the Jones Funeral Home on Thursday, April 9, 1970, at 2 p.m.with the Rev. Wilford Keele officiating. Mrs. Fowler died April 6 at the Casabello Estate where she had been making her home.
She was born June 15, 1893, in Manero, N.M. the daughter of Francis and Harriett Simer. At the age of five she went with her family to Meeker, Colorado, where they made their home. When she was 13 the family came to Salmon and this had been her home since that time.
She was married to Lynn Fowler August 14, 1909, in Salmon and three children were born. Mr. Fowler preceded her in death in 1965 and a son Gene, died in 1937. She is survived by one daughter Mrs. Virginia L. Thompson of Pocatello, one son, Harvell Fowler of Kellogg; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Two vocal solos were sung by Mrs. E. Tewalt, acompanist was Mrs. C. Bloodgood. The solos were "Over the Sunset Mountains" and "Beyond The Sunset." Pallbearers were Golbert Buck, Clarence Adams, Charles Malcolm, Charles Lipe, Ernest Waterman and Lewis Keele. Burial took place in the Salmon Cemetery.
