Betty J Ranallo, 72, Wichita, formerly of Wamego, died April 19, 1998, at her home. She had leukemia and had been ill since February.
She was born August 5, 1925, in Harvey, Illinois, the daughter of George and Marie Yantz Linhart. She spent her early life in the Wamego community, where she attended schools. She lived in Wichita from 1952 until 1988, when she returned to Wamego. She returned to Wichita in 1995.

She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Wichita, and St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Wamego.

She was married to James Ranallo in February, 1944. He died April 28, 1988. She was also preceded in death by grandson, Kelly Bird, who died October 29, 1994.

Survivors include daughters, Phyllis Harkness, Baileyville, KS; Sandra Goff, Wichita, KS; sister, Margaret Bellinder, Wamego, KS; 10 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

Services were held at All Saints Catholic Church in Wichita. Burial was in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in the Flush community north of Wamego.
