Residence

Stanley has been a bookkeeper at the Harms oil Company, going to Eagle Grove to run the Phillips 66 station there.

Marriage

Miss Elizabeth Speedy and Stanley Roose son of Mr and Mrs George Roose of Allison was read by the Rev PC Matthias at Clarksville Lutheran parsonage Dec 21. Attending the couple were Mr and Mrs Richard Speedy, brother and sister in law of the bride.

Stanley was part of the World War 2 war effort by growing hemp. Farmers were given a subsidy to grow 10 or acres in their fields.

Residence

Pfc. Theodore Sinram and his wife were honored on Sunday by relatives who held a picnic in Henry Woods park. Present at the picnic were Mrs. Sinram’s parents, Mr and Mrs. Harvey Speedy and family of Allison, also Mr and Mrs Richard Speedy and family, and Mrs. Stanley Roose and baby, etc.

Mary Roose, daughter of Mr and Mrs Stanley Roose. The girls were selected by a vote of the student body. On Friday the students will vote to choose the queen. (Mary was crowned Queen, so was her sister Susan in the 1961 homecoming)

Residence

Stanley and Elizabeth drove to Hilltop Lakes Texas each winter. Their home was on the golf course.

Death

Died at the Allison Health Care Center, nursing home.
